Topps Chrome
Topps chrome cards are popular baseball, football, basketball and hockey card sets which feature veteran players and quite a few rookies as well. True to their name, all cards feature shiny chrome colored borders. Topps Chrome rookies are some of the most sought after rookie cards from Topps, sometimes going for $1000's online and at card shows. Topps has introduced a new twist in 2008 by expanding the popular Topps Heritage chrome set and splitting the distribution between Topps Heritage and Topps Chrome. The entire set is 200 cards, with cards 1-100 being inserted into Topps Heritage packs, and cards 101-200 being included with Topps Chrome packs. Cards 101-200 still are referred to as Topps Heritage chromes, are serially numbered the same (#/1959 for regular chromes and #/559 for refractor chromes) and are still modeled after the 1959 Topps cards. Topps chrome cards continue to grow in popularity and show no signs of slowing down.
